Synlait Milk Ltd chief executive Leon Clement expanded on Friday on how the company proceeded to develop a dairy factory on land at Pokeno where restrictive covenants were removed by court order, then reinstated.
The Court of Appeal has overturned decisions made by High Court judge Mark Woolford in late 2018 affecting development land at Pokeno, Auckland’s growth centre on the south side of the Bombay Hills. Especially affected is the Synlait Milk Ltd factory, nearing completion.
11 properties were sold under the hammer out of 25 offered at Bayleys’ Total Property commercial auction on Wednesday, and one property was sold prior.
18 commercial properties were sold under the hammer out of 30 taken to auction in Bayleys’ Greater Auckland portfolio on Wednesday.
In a big Total Property commercial auction at Bayleys on Wednesday, 16 properties were sold under the hammer, 4 sold prior, 2 were offered together then individually but didn’t sell, and 2 were withdrawn – a 50% sell rate on what was offered. Another property has sold since the auction.
Chinese company Yashili NZ Dairy Co Ltd has won land use consent to construct & run a $220 million infant formula plant at Pokeno, just south of the Bombay Hills in the northern Waikato.
