National law firm Duncan Cotterill won 4 awards and came second for 2 more at the New Zealand law awards last week.
Queen City Law repeated its 2009 victory in the property & construction category and was second in the category for boutique law firms.
Duncan Cotterill’s awards were for large law firm of the year, 100+ employer of choice insurance law and resource management & environment law. It took second place in the intellectual property and litigation & dispute resolution categories.
Duncan Cotterill chairman Raewyn Lovett said: “These awards are voted on by our clients and the fact that so many took the time to recognise our efforts & support us in these awards is something we are very proud of.” She said the record tally reflected the growing strength of the firm’s network. It has offices in Christchurch, Nelson, Wellington, Auckland & Sydney. Marcus Beveridge’s Queen St-basedQueen City Law won the Prendos property & construction law category (it won this award and was second in the property law section last year) and was second behind Wellington firm Chen Palmer in the Thomson Reuters boutique law firm category.
