Housing NZ officially opened a redevelopment comprising 22 new 2-bedroom apartments in Three Kings on Wednesday.
Housing Minister Dr Nick Smith said: “This modern, fit-for-purpose complex is a far cry from the 4 old stand-alone houses that previously sat on this under-utilised site. These apartments will provide a warm, dry & safe home for elderly & disabled tenants in close proximity to key facilities & amenities such as the supermarket, the local library & public transport.”
Dr Smith said the new apartments would contribute to meeting the demand for smaller, more compact housing in Auckland’s city-fringe suburbs.
