Major financial institutions formed a new financial literacy consortium yesterday – The Exchange.
Commerce Minister Craig Foss said the intention was to share information about financial literacy projects and allocate resources to improve financial literacy. The Exchange would co-operate with the Commission for Financial Literacy & Retirement Income.
The Exchange will be advised by a council, including Retirement Commissioner Diane Maxwell, Banking Ombudsman Scheme chairwoman Miriam Dean, Bankers’ Association chairman Kirk Hope and the chief executive of the Financial Markets Authority.
