Published 15 November 2007Manukau City Council is calling on people whose resource consent applications have been on hold for more than 6 months to send in missing information.
City form & environment portfolio leader Cllr Sharon Stewart said it was part of a drive to improve consent processing times. She said applicants would be given 10 days after they receive an explanatory letter to provide the required information. “If this doesn’t happen the consent can be declined and the applicant asked to cover all the costs of processing.”
She said 56% of non-notified resource consent applications were completed within the statutory timeframe of 20 working days.
