On top of its agreement last week to manage Augusta Capital Ltd’s first hotel in Queenstown, Radisson Hotel Group has signed 4 agreements with subsidiaries of Anthony Tosswill’s NZ Horizons Ltd & Remarkables Hotel Ltd that will lead to the launch of new Radisson Blu & Radisson RED hotels in Queenstown, and Radisson Blu & Park Inn by Radisson hotels at Lake Tekapo.
Augusta’s Queenstown hotel will be the first in the Radisson Collection in New Zealand, and one of 2 initial seed assets for the Augusta Tourism Fund.
Radisson announced from Singapore on Friday that the other 4 hotels would have a total of 777 keys and were scheduled to open in 2021 & 2022.
The 2 hotels at Remarkables Park, near Queenstown’s airport, will sit side by side in a lowrise development. The Radisson Blu will have 171 rooms & suites and facilities including an executive lounge, a fitness centre & event space.
At Lake Tekapo, the lowrise Park Inn by Radisson will have 112 rooms and the Radisson Blu Resort 237 rooms & a full range of facilities including an executive lounge, multiple restaurants & bars, a fitness centre, spa, heated indoor pool and conference & banquet space.The 257-room Radisson RED is scheduled to open on the same date. Facilities will include a 24-hour fitness centre & meeting spaces.
Remarkables Hotel Ltd is developing the 2 Queenstown hotels. NZ Horizons Ltd subsidiaries Tekapo Lake Resort Ltd & Tekapo Sky Hotel Ltd are developing the other 2 properties.
