Foodstuffs (Auckland) Ltd has begun refurbishing the New World Victoria Park supermarket, at the foot of College Hill, to include new produce and beer & wine departments, a new-look seafood department & a bakery.
The refurbishment programme is estimated to take about 8 months, to be completed by Christmas.
Foodstuffs (Auckland) property development general manager Murray Jordan said the new-look store would have wider aisles, more space around the checkouts and a better pedestrian entrance from Victoria St.
The supermarket, owned & operated by Rob McGregor, will stay open throughout the refurbishment programme.
